SchoolympIIIc is a SMAN 8 yearly project. It has been done for the past 3 years and this year the theme is “INDONESIA” - in order to keep the tradition, culture and Indonesian spirits up high. The event’s mascot is a Komodo, which is known as one of Indonesian’s characteristic animal. This year SMAN 8 also collaborate with Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO and will give this year event profit for children education in Indonesia as a way of supporting the children in need.

SchoolympIIIc will organize 14 (fourteen) competitions that include sports, art, technology and young entrepreneurship competition. There will be 6 (six) competitions that will be place in Usmar Ismail Hall such as robot competition, traditional Saman dance, choir competition, character design competition, web design competition and short film competition.

SchoolympIIIc event will be held from Sunday-Thursday of 22-26 of June 2008 in 3 places: Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Usmar Ismail Hall, and Bakrie School of Management.
