Broadway! - A Time Capsule

inteRlude Music Entertainment presents you a show, entitled “Broadway! A Time Capsule by Arif Dharma” capturing the history commencing in year 1900s with Ziegfeld Follies to start off staging in a big theatre up to the most recent musical such as Rent, Hairspray and Wicked. The concept of the show is creating a classroom called “Musical101” with a lecturer to guide the audience through the show with narration and elaboration of each piece. The show will be colored with solo numbers, duets, trios, and choral works (accompanied or a cappella) with a bit of acting and witty choreography to enhance the story of each numbers.

In the first set of the show, Arif Dharma will perform songs from early years of musical plays (1900 to 1960), singing songs from Ziegfeld Follies, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Gay Divorce, Sophisticated Ladies, Red Hot & Blue, Babes In Arms, A Damsel In Distress, The Boys From Syracuse, Pal Joey, One Touch Of Venus, Carousel, Lost In The Stars, Finian’s Rainbow, Kiss Me Kate, The Music Man, and lastly, The Band Wagon to finish up the first set.

In the second set of the show, Arif Dharma, with the assistance of other artists, will perform songs from modern years of musical plays (1960 to present), singing songs from Oliver!, Hello Dolly, No Strings, Cinderella, Chicago, Dreamgirls, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Beauty & The Beast, Rent, Aida, The Full Monty, The Producers, Wicked, and lastly the multiple Tony Award winner musical, Hairspray. And then a recap of the show in a luscious Broadway medley of songs sung by leading male throughout history with songs coming from West Side Story, South Pacific, Five Guys Named Moe and of course, 42nd Street.

This show will be directed by Farid Syah Putra and hosted by Fonnyta Amran, along with artists such as Lucky Octavian (of Indonesian Idol 2004), Ary Kirana (of Warna), Gabriel Harvianto (of Elfa’s Jazz & Pop Singers), Evlyne Hutagalung (of inteRlude), Tara Nababan (of inteRlude), LeMONADE Vocal Jazz A Cappella, 1Voice, Colorful Girls, Cavallero Male Singers and inteRvallo Chorale. This show will be accompanied by inteRlude Combo Band (Boy Joshua as music director and arranger). All songs (vocal and music) will be arranged by Arif Dharma himself, with the assistance of Boy Joshua, Teddy Eka and Mona Unsulangi.

Tickets will be distributed starting on November 2007, but may be reserved from October 2007. VIP Class (Sunset Boulevard) Rp.125,000,-; Regular Class (Chicago) Rp. 100,000,-; Student Class (Oklahoma) Rp. 75,000,-.
