The Pusat Perfilman Haji Usmar Ismail Building consists of the office building, a cinema library, a cinema warehouse, the cinematography school and the newly-refurbished cinema itself – now the pride of the Indonesian movie-making industry. In addition, this is a centre of art and culture of an international standard – including performances organized by foreign embassies, film premiers, film festivals, both Indonesian and international – as well as being a place for film makers to create and present their work.

Built by Prof. DR. Ir. Soegijanto (Professor of Engineer Physics Department in Institute Tekhnologi Bandung); this beautiful new cinema can also be an integrated concert hall with a first class acoustic system for concert performances.

For this, we would like to offer our appreciation to all the members of the Cinematography Center of the Haji Usmar Ismail Foundation who have so enthusiastically supported the project. We also thank everyone who has assisted us to make this Cinema and Integrated Concert Hall a reality./p>

Our special thanks go to Mr. Addie M.S. for his invaluable advice, right from the initial concept of this theatre until its completion. We are grateful for his contribution and his ideas, especially for helping with the acoustic system enabling this to become the best integrated cinema and concert hall in Indonesia.

As the building manager, PT. Prodas Perdana hopes that this wonderful theatre will go a long way in contributing to the development of Indonesian art and culture, especially in the field of music and film.
